PURPOSE:To effectively utilize a file, by adding a subsidiary data storage area in which the storage address of subsidiary data following subsidiary data is stored if fundamental data of subsidiary data is already stored. CONSTITUTION:When the subsidiary data dkj-1 related to fundamental data Dk is inputted, an address storage area P4 in which a storage address akj of subsidiary data dkj following subsidiary data dkj-1 should be stored is added if fundamental data Dk is already stored. Input subsidiary data is stored before already stored subsidiary data dkj-1, and the storage address of subsidiary data dkj is stored in the address storage area P4 added to subsidiary data dkj-1 based on a storage address akj-1 of the latest subsidiary data dkj-1 added to fundamental data Dk. Furthermore, contents (akj-1) of a subsidiary data storage area P5 of the latest subsidiary data added to fundamental data Dk are updated to the storage address akj of subsidiary data dkj. Thus, the data storage area for one data is not fixed to effectively use the file.
