PURPOSE:To prevent the bundle of an optical fiber from being drawn out to the outside and to facilitate assembling in a multihead or handling in soldering work by simplifying wiring, by assembling light emitting and receiving elements in the inside of a magnetic optical composite head. CONSTITUTION:The light emitting and receiving elements 27 are formed on the bundle 26 of the optical fiber connected to an optical member 25 by mounting with liquid resin, etc., in advance. On the light emitting and receiving elements 27, insulating wires 35 with required length to take out an electrical signal are mounted in advance, and only the insulating wires 35 are drawn out to the outside of the magneto-optical composite head, and no bundle 26 of the optical fiber is drawn out to the outside. In such a way, the wiring can be performed easily, and the burning of the bundle of the optical fiber due to the contact of a soldering iron on the bundle of the optical fiber at the time of soldering can be prevented from being generated.
