PURPOSE:To surely remove the metal powder included in the operating oil by providing a return passage which contains a return valve and which connects a hydraulic passage connected to a hydraulic cylinder for adjusting the installation angle of a ship's propeller to a reserve tank, so that the return oil can be collected into the reserve tank. CONSTITUTION:A propeller 2 is connected to the ship's stern part 1 by means of a pair of hydraulic cylinders, port and starboard, No.1 (4) and No.2 (5), so that the installation angle of the propeller 2 can be adjusted owing to the operation of both cylinders 4 and 5. The hydraulic chambers on the piston side and rod side of the hydraulic cylinders 4, 5 are connected by hydraulic passages No.1 (7) and No.2 (8) to the discharge ports 6a and 6b of a reversible hydraulic pump 6. In this case, each hydraulic passage 7 or 8 is connected to a return passage 7c or 8c connected to a reserve tank reserving the operating oil. A return valve 20 or 19, which makes the return oil only from each hydraulic cylinder 4 or 5 pass in the direction toward the reserve tank 10, is installed to each return passage 7c or 8c. With this contrivance, the metal powder included in the operating oil can easily be removed. |
