PURPOSE:To enable preparation of distilled water with a compact device without any heat loss by a constitution in which one end of cooling pipe reaches a water collector below penetrating through a gradient partition inclined to the center of an evaporation chamber which hermetically seals the top of said chamber. CONSTITUTION:The top of an evaporation chamber 3 with an electric heater 1 is hermetically sealed by a gradient partition 4 inclined to the center of the evaporation chamber 3. A water collector 5 is provided at the center bottom of the partition 4 with cooling pipe 6 mounted at the top. In addition, the partition 4 and cooling pipe 6 are cooled by a fan device 9, and one end of the cooling pipe 6 is permitted to reach the water collector 5 below, penetrating through the partition 4. With this compact device, distilled water can be prepared without any heat loss.
