PURPOSE:To enhance sensitivity and to reduce variance of potentials in the light and in the dark at the time of repeated uses of charging and exposure by incorporating a specified low molecular weight compound in a photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:The electrophotographic sensitive body has a layer containing one of the hydrazone compounds represented by formula I in which A is optionally substituted 1,2-benzocarbazolyl, 2,3-benzocarbazolyl, or 3,4-benzocarbazolyl group, and each of R1-R3 is alkyl, optionally substituted aralkyl, aryl, or a heterocyclic group, and R1 may be H atom, thus permitting sensitivity and characteristics to be adequate, and variances of potentials in the light and in the dark at the time of repeated uses of charging and exposure to be reduced. |
