PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy of measurement by outputting the pressing force of a pressuring means as a weight putting on a head when two displacement quantity agree each other. CONSTITUTION:A thin plate 7 is removed from a carriage 1, the upper part of a mobile stand 8 is rotated and a overhang load cell 9 is faced to the carriage side. At this time, the upper side of the carriage 1u is fixed in the opening state by a pen-cylinder 2b. Then the weight (f) is gradually put to the head 5d of the floppy disk drive (FDD) by the overhang load cell 9. The displacement quantity (d) of a gimbal plate 4 is detected by a noncontact displacement sensor 6 and this displacement quantity (d) and displacement quantity (d0) stored in a storage memory 11 are compared by a comparator 12. When the displacement quantity (d) and the displacement quantity (d0) agree each other, a signal is transmitted to a sample hold circuit 13 from the comparator 12 and the weight (f0) of the overhang load cell 9 is detected there. Thus weight (f0) is regarded as a weight at the time of using the FDD head 5d and outputted to a display device 14. Thus the accuracy of the measurement can be attained.
