PURPOSE:To store large electric power without destroying storage functions of a low temperature liquefied gas by arranging a coil or a ring which is formed with superconducting wire materials at a space between an inner shell of a low temp. liquefied gas storage tank and a heat insulator and by storing electric power so as to obtain superconduction. CONSTITUTION:A coil 6 formed by superconducting materials is arranged so as to surround an inner shell 1 between the inner shell 1 and a heat insulator 2 and supporting materials 7 to support a reaction developed in the coil 6 is arranged at the part of the heat insulator 2. A superconducting state is obtained by such a configuration and large electric power can be stored without destroying storage functions of a low temp. liquefied gas. It is also preferable to construct an outer shell 4 with a reinforced concrete, its ground or a combination member of them in addition to a low temp. steel. As an electric power is stored in large quantities by making use of a storage base as well as low temp. storage tanks of the low temp. liquefied gas, lands, facilities and the like can be efficiency used.
