PURPOSE:To reduce the occurrence frequency of malfunction by making an angle formed between the center of a first fixed shaft and the center of a second fixed shaft to an acute angle when the read/write element is positioned on the central cylinder of a magnetic disk. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic head 13 is composed to make it's arm's length, that means, the distance between the read/write (R/W) element 12 and the fixed shaft 4, longer than that of a conventioned one and to make the angle formed between the position 12a when the R/W element 12 is positioned on a central track 1a and the center of the fixed shaft 4 and the center 1p of the magnetic disk 1 to be the acute angle. Therefore as the swaying disk 1 to be the acute angle. Therefore as the swaying angle of the magnetic disk 13 becomes smaller than that of the former one and the angle of the inclination of the R/W element 12 for each track of the magnetic disk 1 becomes small, the reduction width of a write or a read signal becomes small according to that. Thus the occurrence frequency of the malfunction can be reduced.
