PURPOSE:To reduce the amount of information inputted by an operator and to reduce load on the operator, by constituting the construction of form data of a targeted form so that the advancing direction of a graphic element forming an input graphic can be decided automatically. CONSTITUTION:The titled device is constituted in such a way that a form direction decision part 23 which decides a form direction by a start point, an end point, and a tangent point in each element of the input graphic based on numeric data constructed at a form data construction part 22 is provided in a CPU 2, and tool path data is calculated at a tool path data calculation part 24 based on the from direction data of each element of the form direction decision part 23, and a program corresponding to the input graphic is generated. By omitting the input of information with respect to the advancing direction and the rotational direction of the graphic element at the time of inputting the targeted form, it is possible to reduce the amount of information required to input by the operator, and to reduce the load on the operator.
