PURPOSE:To secure such a wire rod that keeps a superconductive characteristic by charging powder of an oxide ceramics superconductive material in a metallic pipe and, sealing the front and rear ends, performing its extrusion. CONSTITUTION:As for ceramics superconductive material, YBa2Cu3O7 or the like are used, and after mixed powder of an oxide, a carbon oxide or the like of each constituent element of the theoretical quantity is pressurized and molded, heat treatment is carried out, thereby adding a superconductive characteristic to it. Next, it is comminuted into powder. As for pipe covering material, conductive metallic materials such as Cu, Al or the like are used. In addition, as for extruding, such hydrostatic extrusion that is ease of processing a composite material is adopted. With this constitution, a uniform characteristic superconductive wire rod is produced.
