PURPOSE:To obtain an adhesive composition outstanding in applicability and alkali resistance, for application on waterproof sheets by incorporating a (halogenated) butyl rubber with specified proportion of a specific organic compound having terminal alkoxysilyl or isocyanate groups. CONSTITUTION:The objective adhesive can be obtained by incorporating (A) 100pts.wt. of a butyl rubber or halogenated butyl rubber (e.g., chlorinated butyl rubber) with (B) 1-200pts.wt. of an organic compound having two or more terminal alkoxysilyl or isocyanate groups with mol.wt. 300-4,000 (e.g. a compound prepared by modification of the both ends of a polyolefin with vinyl triethyoxysilane to convert said both ends into triethoxysilyl groups).
