PURPOSE:To make production easy by joinning respective hills of a pair of channel members together which are provided with hills and valleys in longitudinal direction by turns for making them a perforated frame so as to attach a steering unit with utilizing one of holes of the same frame for both lightening and working. CONSTITUTION:A pair of channel members 2, which are U-type in section and hills 3 and valleys 4 are formed by turns on both side faces, are prepared, and hills 3 of both channel members 2 are confronted with each other and joined by welding and the like. According to this working, a perforated frame 10, having holes 9 for both lightening and working...and attaching holes 5..., is constructed. While, a flange 22, provided attaching holes on positions corresponding to attaching holes 5, is formed to a steering unit 20 to be attached to this perforated frame 10. And the flange 22 of the steering unit 20 is arranged so that it may step over the hole 9, and a housing 21, in which sector shaft bearings are put, is made to protrude into the hole 9, and then both are fixed by inserting bolts 23 to the attaching holes 5.
