<p>PURPOSE:To promote the proliferation and differentiation of callus cell or adventitious bud, by immersing a nonwoven cloth in a liquid medium and contacting said nonwoven cloth and/or a part of grown plant cell attached to said nonwoven cloth with gaseous air. CONSTITUTION:A nonwoven cloth made of a water-absorbing material such as rayon is incised in the form of a lattice to facilitate the division of said nonwoven cloth. Said nonwoven cloth is placed in a culture vessel furnished with a culture liquid feeding port and a culture liquid discharging port in such a manner that the nonwoven clot is partly immersed in the liquid medium and partly exposed to air. A culture liquid is supplied to the vessel from a culture liquid circulation apparatus connected to the vessel and a plant cell is fixed and proliferated in the texture of the nonwoven cloth. When a ventila tion port provided with a cell-shielding filter is opened at the top of the culture vessel, gaseous air can be constantly supplied to the vessel to promote the proliferation and differentiation of a callus cell or adventitious bud. When the cell is sufficiently differentiated, the nonwoven cloth is divided along the incisions and transplanted to soil as it is.</p> |
