<p>PURPOSE:To insure good stability of steering over wide speed range by adding directive value, gained through (variably) controlling damped signal, generated in accordance with steering angle speed signal, so as to be large in accordance with increasing of vehicle speed, to asist signal. CONSTITUTION:An asist directive unit 1, including a torsional torque sensor 11, and a phase compensation directive unit 2, including a phase compensating unit 21 generating proportional signal to differential value of torque signal, are provided. And again, a return directive unit 3, including a steering angle sensor 31, a damping directive unit 4, including a steering angle phase compensating unit 41 putting out steering angle speed signal through differentiating signal of steering angle, and a vehicle speed judging unit 5 are provided. And an electric motor 7 is controlled by a control circuit 6 based on signal after adding up outputs of respective directive units 1, 2, 5. In this case, a vehicle speed operating constant function unit 8, putting out vehicle speed operating coefficient signal to be large in accordance with increasing in behicle speed, is provided. Again, a multiplication operating unit 9, which multiplies outputs from said function unit 8 and a damped torque indicating function unit 42 together and puts out them, is provided.</p> |
