PURPOSE:To stabilize the performance of an organic PTC heater by monitoring the inter-core wire resistance under the continuous work, estimating the resistance value of an extrusion resistor, and controlling the extrusion temperature and core wire preheating temperature. CONSTITUTION:A pair of core wires 13 from a core wire bobbin 14 are electrically insulated when they pass the core base in the cross head 12 of a extruding machine 11, the electric resistance between the core wires 13, 13 is continuously measured with a resistance measuring device 16 on this side of the cross head 12 and calculated with a computer 17 and recorded with a recorder 18. The resistance value of an extrusion resistor is thus monitored and controlled. An organic PTC heater with stable performance is thereby obtained.
