PURPOSE:To obtain a product where wood fragments have been scattered evenly with reproducibility, by a method wherein an adhesive sheet is superposed upon a flat plate-like kneaded matter by arranging a large number of the wood fragments on the adhesive sheet and sticking them to the adhesive sheet, then the wood fragments are transferred to the flat plate-like kneaded matter by peeling the adhesive sheet from the kneaded matter and turned into a solidified matter through heating and pressurization. CONSTITUTION:Wood fragments 1 are arranged on an adhesive surface 3 of an adhesive sheet 2 and stuck to the adhesive sheet 2. Then the wood fragments 1 are arranged on a mold 4 where positioning of the wood fragments 1 can be performed and the wood fragments 1 are stuck to the adhesive surface 3 by pressing on the wood fragments 1 with the adhesive sheet 2. With this construction, a sheetlike matter 5 to which the wood fragments have been stuck is obtained. On the one hand, a kneaded matter obtained by mixing a filling agent with a curable resin solution is cast into a mold 6, leveled flat and made into a flat platelike kneaded matter 7. The sheetlike matter 5 is superposed upon the kneaded matter 7 which is in an uncured state and both are joined together. Then when only the adhesive sheet 2 is peeled off the wood fragments 1 are transferred to the kneaded matter 7. Then the resin is solidified by heating and pressurizing the same. The evenly scattered wood fragments 1 are exposed to the surface by grinding the surface of the solidified matter and a thin platelike ligneous composite 8 is obtained.
