PURPOSE:To reduce the weight of a vehicle body by employing a superconducting material which exhibits a superconducting state at an ambient temperature for a magnetic shield in a magnetic levitation vehicle. CONSTITUTION:Side beams 2 bonded to the lower ends of a side structure 1 which forms the body of a magnetic levitation vehicle are connected through a lateral beam 3. A floor plate retainer 4 is mounted at the intermediate part of the beam 3. A floor plate 5 supported by the retainer 4 is composed of a laminated layer material of a superconducting material 6 and a wood 7. The plate 5 is mounted over the cntire floor of a vehicle. Thus, magnetism can be effectively shielded and the weight of the body can be reduced.
