PURPOSE:To reduce the amt. of silver coated per unit area as well as to improve the suitability for desensitizing method by forming a layer contg. a specified anionic fluorine-contg. surfactant and a basic mordant on a silver halide emulsion layer. CONSTITUTION:A nonphotosensitive hydrophilic colloidal layer contg. an anionic fluorine-contg. surfactant having an acidic group and a basic mordant is hardened so as to regulate the degree of expansion to 1.2-2 and the hardened layer is formed on a silver halide emulsion layer to obtain a sensitive material for the printing plate. This sensitive material is exposed and developed and the resulting silver image is desensitized. Thus, the amt. of silver coated per unit area is reduced and the suitability of the sensitive material for desensitizing the printing plate is not deteriorated. |
