PURPOSE:To prevent a rush current from flowing through a load by gradually rising an output voltage from a lower value than a commercial power source voltage to an original predetermined voltage when an uninterruptible power source is switched to a state of supplying power to the load. CONSTITUTION:When the supply of an AC power to a load 8 is switched from an uninterruptible power source 3 to a commercial power source 2, a correction signal from an auxiliary setter 22 is applied through an analog switch 23 and a slow resetter 24 to a voltage regulator 14 so that the output voltage of the power source 3 is set to a value lower than the output voltage of the power source 2, and its operation is continued in a no-load state. When the charging of a capacitor is completed to erase a rush current, the power source 3 restarts supplying power. Since the output voltage of the power source 3 is lower than that of the power source 2 at this time, there is no possibility that the rush current again flows through the capacitor. |
