PURPOSE:To enable an operator to recognize the requesting source of an input requested at present by classifying a cursor display color indicating an input character position on a CRT screen correspondingly to an input requesting source at the time of processing the console input request. CONSTITUTION:When an input request is applied to a console, a port discriminating part 10 in a console control part 1 discriminates which source generates the input request in accordance with the inputted port. A cursor display color code conversion part 11 determines a cursor color display color code with a color indicating the input request based on the decided result. A cursor display color code storage part 12 stores the determined cursor display color code. Then, the control part 1 displays a cursor instruction on a cursor display control part by using the color code stored in the storage part 12. The control part 3 writes the contents of a cursor classified by color into a color cursor in a CRT display content storage part 5 correspondingly to its requesting source on the screen of the CRT 6. Consequently, the CRT 6 displays the input request source to the operator.
