<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the irregularity of recorded image density, by recording at one density level through performing recording by odd-numbered heat generating resistors and recording by even-numbered heat generating resistors, one after the other, and repeating recording for each of the density levels. CONSTITUTION:A block 1 is constituted of odd-numbered heat generating resistors Ho, while a block 2 is constituted of even-numbered heat generating resistors He. Density levels formed by a data-converting part 12 are sequentially transferred to a thermal head 14, one level at a time, and are latched. Writing is conducted for one level at a time. Selection signals for the blocks 1, 2 are in the form of pulses with a pulse duration of (t), with a phase difference of pitherebetween. Therefore, writing at a level 1 is first conducted in the block 1 by the odd-numbered heat generating resistors, and then writing at the level 1 is conducted in the block 2 by the even-numbered heat generating resistors. Next, writing at a level 2 is conducted sequentially in the order of the block 1 and the block 2, and writing is similarly repeated at each of levels 3-64, thereby obtaining a desired recorded image. Thus, it is made possible to obtain a favorable recorded image with less irregularity in density.</p> |
