PURPOSE:To facilitate the joining of a tube stock without using a large-sized tool by forming the socket consisting of a tapered part and large diameter part at the end of a tube stock and plastically deforming the large diameter part in tapered shape by inserting the end of the pipe stock of other part by interposing an annular gasket and C-shaped ring at the tapered part. CONSTITUTION:The socket consisting of the part 3 slightly expanding its diameter, a tapered part 4 toward a pipe end from the part 3 and a large diameter part 5 with its max. diameter as it is, is formed at the end of a tube stock 1 of one part of pipe stocks 1, 2. The end 6 of the other tube stock 2 is then inserted into this socket. At this time, the annular gasket 7 in a wedge sectional shape and plural C rings 8, 8 are interposed between the socket and tube stock 2. Then, fastening jaws 11, 11 are closed in the radial direction by abutting the fastening jaws 11, 11 of the joining tool having the inner peripheral faces 9, 10 in tapered shape at both sides of the center line to the outer periphery of the socket. And simultaneously with plastically deforming the large diameter part 5 in a taper shape towards the pipe end by the inner peripheral face 10, the annular gasket 7 and C ring 8 are press-fitted to the outer peripheral face of the tube stock 2 of the other part strongly to perform the joining excellent in airtightness and pressure resistance. |
