PURPOSE:To enable melting of a waste toner without reheating the already melted and solidified toner and without using wasteful electric power by locally heating a waste toner bottle and changing the heating position thereof according to the amt. of the recovered toner. CONSTITUTION:This toner recovering device recovers the toner cleaned from the surface of a photosensitive body 3 and has a container 1 for housing the toner, a holding means 21 for holding the container 1 and a heating member 9 disposed to partially heat the container 1 in order to melt or solidify the toner. The position where the toner housing container 1 is heated by the member 9 is changed according to the amt. of the toner accumulated in the container 11. Only the point where the toner is housed is thereby heated and the much consumption of the wasteful electric power is obviated. |
