PURPOSE:To continuously recover metal powder and to improve the productivity by arranging a recovery pit for the metal powder at bottom part in an atomizing pit and also arranging a pump continuously transporting the metal powder to dewater and drying devices in the above recovery pit. CONSTITUTION:The recovery pit 20 retaining the metal powder A is formed at the bottom part 6b in the atomizing pit 6. The side wall thereof has inclination of >=70 deg. angle so as to become narrow downward. The transporting pump 30 with submerged stirring type cutter fan on the bottom wall of the pit 20 is fixed. Molten metal is granulated by the atomizing device 3 and made to granular (a), dropped into the atomized pit 6, rapidly cooled with cooling water therein and solidified, to flow into the recovery pit 20. Then, the metal powder A retained in the pit 20 is stirred with the transporting pump 30, sucked, continuously transported into the dewatering device 24 through a transporting pipe 40, dewatered, supplied into the drying device 27 with a belt conveyor 28 and dried.
