A reference generator and a number of input signal processors are provided. The reference generator generates a series of reference voltages, each half as large as the previous, the first of which is equal to the voltage range of the convertor employed. Each input processor converts one of several input signals to a bit-serial digital signal with the most significant bit first, using the common reference voltages. - In the switched capacitor circuit the input signal for each clock cycle is modified by subtraction of the actual reference voltage, and by addition of the previous reference voltage only if the foregoing initial bit is nil. A comparator is used, the output of which is nil if the modified signal is less than nil, and a digital control unit controls one of the switches in the switched capacitor circuit. This circuit has six switches, two capacitors and an operation amplifier. |
