PURPOSE:To automatically retrieve a picture frame corresponding to a negative film and to accurately position it in an exposure position by controlling it based on a bar-code added to a defectively printed printing paper. CONSTITUTION:The bar-code added to the defectively printed printing paper 42 is read by a bar-code reader 99 and the data is supplied to an exposure controller 26 to be stored. Next, the bar-code is read when on picture frame of the negative film 18 is carried by a take-up roller 90, and the data is supplied to the exposure controller 26. Moreover, data corresponding to the stored bar- code of defectively printed printing paper 42 is fetched into a CPU so as to compare the data. When the data coincides with each other, it is decided to be the picture frame corresponding to the defectively printed printing paper 42 so as to carry by specified frame by the take-up roller 90, so that the picture frame reaches the exposure position. Thus, the picture frame corresponding to the defectively printed printing paper can be accurately positioned in the exposure position.
