PURPOSE:To condense the incident light from the surface of a fiber so that the radiation of the light from the fiber section is enabled by specifying the fineness of a monofilament consisting of a thermoplastic polymer contg. a fluorescent dye. CONSTITUTION:The monofilament consisting of the thermoplastic polymer contg. 0.01-1.0wt.% fluorescent dye is >=1 denier and <=300,000 denier. This condensable fiber can be formed to circular, various irregular and hollow fiber sections. The aggregated light is released from not only the section but the curved face as well particularly in the case of the fiber having a flat section. The fiber highly esteemed for ornamental and apparel uses is obtd. A fiber of an iridescent tone with which colors appear different according to the directions of viewing is obtd. if the fluorescent dyes having different colors are mixedly used. |
