发明名称 PRODUCTION OF ISOCYANURATE RING-SHAPED STRUCTURAL SUBSTANCE
摘要 PURPOSE:To advantageously obtain an isocyanurate ring-shaped structural substance useful in production of lacquer or foam in trimerizing an organic isocyanate, by using a specific phase transfer catalyst as well as potassium fluoride as a catalyst to improve reaction rate. CONSTITUTION:An organic isocyanate is trimerized by the use of a combination of potassium fluoride and one or more compounds selected from (a) a polyethylene oxide compound, (b) a quaternary ammonium salt and (c) a phosphonium compound as a catalyst under a non-aqueous condition to give an isocyanurate structural substance at much higher reaction rate than that of a conventional method and quantitatively. Since polynuclear substances are not formed at all by this method, the prepared substance has excellent solvent solubility. Since side reactions hardly occur, this method has good raw material efficiency and the substance is extremely readily purified. Further since the amount of the catalyst is very small, separation of the substance after the reaction is not required and the substance is economically inexpensive.
