PURPOSE:To enable rapid checking of whether all parts operate normally or not by comparing the values obtd. by measuring the input currents when the loads in respective parts are normal and the input current values measured by energizing the loads at the time of a self-diagnosis operation and detecting the abnormality of the loads. CONSTITUTION:The abnormality of a device is detected from the abnormality of the loads by comparing the values obtd. by previously measuring the input currents when the loads in the respective parts are normal and the input current values 94, 97 measured by energizing the loads at the time of the self-diagnosis operation. The current values of the respective loads, for example, the current values measured by a DC current detector 94 of an electrostatic charge control plate 85 are compared with the preset normal value in a main control board 81, by which an operation check is executed. Since the correct values of the loads in the respective parts of the copying machine can be monitored, the causes for abnormal images, etc., can be previously checked. Since an increase in the load can be immediately discovered, the emission of an alarm before incurrence of a serious secondary damage is possible. |
