PURPOSE:To attain fine position setting by optionally changing the preset values of counter means for setting auxiliary screen position by means of a control means. CONSTITUTION:The counters V211 and H212 read data from a field memory at a timing overflowing to the preset values and the control means decides the auxiliary screen position. The control means controls the reading and writing of a signal processing means 26, controls a micro computer 101 to increment and decrement the preset values of the counters V211 and H212 based on an external command and sets the auxiliary screen position to shift to the optional position, When the auxiliary screen moves to the edges of four sides in a main screen, the control means controls the preset values to automatically be substituted in the position and controls the auxiliary screen to move to the edge of a side on an opposite side. Thus, the position fo the auxiliary screen can finely be set and can be displayed in the position which is not a hindrance to the video of the main screen.
