CONTROLLER FOR AC/DC CONVERTER

PURPOSE:To stably transmit a DC or to convert a frequency by controlling a DC voltage constantly at a power rectifier side and controlling an AC output voltage constantly at a power inverter side. CONSTITUTION:A DC voltage is detected by a DC voltage detector 45 at a separately-excited power reactor 3 side to be butted to a voltage set value 32, and a control angle 34 is determined by a constant voltage controller 33. A DC current is detected by a current transformer 8 to be butted to a current set value 36, and a control angle 38 is determined by a constant current control ler 37. The maximum value is selected from the two control angles 34, 38 by a maximum value selector 39 to determined an operation control angle 35. Here, the values 32 and 36 are so selected that the constant voltage controller output 34 becomes larger than the constant current controller output 38 at the time of normal operation to control the power rectifier 3 so that the DC voltage becomes constant.
