PURPOSE:To monitor the operating state of a generator and to control its operation by transmitting the operation data of the generator to a monitoring terminal unit to display it, and controlling the operation of the generator by a control terminal unit. CONSTITUTION:This system monitors whether a commercial power source is interrupted or not and whether a Diesel engine start command is fed from a control terminal unit 20 or not. When the commercial power source is interrupted or when the Diesel engine start command is received, the preheating field coil of a Diesel engine 3 is initially excited, a self-starting motor 6 is driven to start the engine 3. It waits for the voltage and the frequency of an AC power source output after the operation of the engine 3 is stabilized to be stabilized, and a changeover switch 12 is switched to a generator 2 side when it is stabilized. Devices are supplied with powers from the generator 2 in this state.
