<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a catalyst having high absorbing capacity to ethylene gas, by applying reaction treatment by sodium bromide and aqueous sulfuric acid to activated carbon before drying the treated activated carbon under heating. CONSTITUTION:An 1-2N aqueous sulfuric acid solution having 30g of sodium bromide dissolved therein is added to 100cc of activated carbon to perform reaction. After reaction is finished, the reaction mixture is filtered and dried. Thus obtained catalyst is used in the absorption of ethylene gas (for example, as a freshness holding agent of fruits and vegetables).</p> |
