DISPLAY DEVICE FOR CAMERA WITH VARI-FOCAL LENS

摘要

PURPOSE:To display a subject distance and focal length by simple constitution in an easy-to-see state by correcting automatically a shift in image formation position resulting from the update of the focal length of the whole variable power optical system and also displaying the subject distance and the focal length of the whole system. CONSTITUTION:A subject distance display part 14 holds and displays continuously the contents of a subject distance displayed right before a driving indication signal when the driving indication signal is received from a variable power operation indicating means, and calculates the subject distance corresponding to the whole system focal length based on the outputs of a variable power lens group position detector 8 and a focusing lens position detector 7 right after a stop indication signal is received and displays it as a new subject distance. Then a correction quantity for correcting the image formation position shift resulting from the update of the whole system focal length is calculated and a focusing driving means is controlled according to the correction quantity so as to drive a focusing lens group to a focusing position. Thus, the image formation position shift resulting from the update of the whole system focal length of the variable power optical system is corrected automatically and the subject distance and whole system focal length are displayed respectively.
