PURPOSE:To secure such an insulated wire that is excellent in tensile strength and abrasion resistance by dispersing an inorganic fiber, specifying an aspect ratio or fiber length/fiber size, over insulating varnish, and applying this on a conductor directly or indirectly. CONSTITUTION:An inorganic fiber being relatively large 20-5000 in an aspect ratio as an inorganic filler being charged and dispersed in insulating varnish is selected, and the insulating varnish like this is applied on a conductor of an insulated wire directly or indirectly. As for the said inorganic fiber, SiC, Al2O3, SiCO2, K2Ti6O13, MgSO4.5MgO.8H2O, etc., are used, and it is desirable that these fibers are formed into whiskers. And, when this application takes place indirectly, it is performed through a polyester enamel film or a polyimido enamel film, and it is recommendable that an additional quantity of the fiber is the range of a 10-200 pts.wt. per nonvolatile portion 100 pts.wt. in the var nish. And, a fiber diameter is recommended to be less than 0.5mum, and if so, charging application to a narrow part becomes easy.
