PURPOSE:To produce the titled electrode wire body improved in service life by inserting the bare part and covering part of a covered wire into a connecting hole of an electrode terminal, compressing these parts by a pressure and laminating a specific covering layer over the outer circumferential part of the electrode terminal and the outer circumferential part of the covered wire. CONSTITUTION:The bare wire part (k) and covering part (e) of the covered wire K are inserted into the connecting hole 1a of the electrode terminal 1 connected to the electrode body for metal plating and the outer circumferential part 1b thereof is compressed by a pressure and is integrated to form a reduction-deformed part 2. The resin covering 3 of rubber, etc., is continuously and integrally formed by dipping on the outer circumferential part of this reduction-deformed part 2 and the wire covering art (f) continuous with the covering part (w) so that these parts are completely covered in tight adhesion. Concentrical cylindrical double tubes which consist of a heat shrinkable tube 4 made of nylon, etc., in the outer circumferential part and are adhered and formed with a thermal welding layer 5 made of polyamide, etc., therein re deposited on the outer circumferential part thereof and are subjected to a heating treatment to form the double covering layers. The plating liquid is thereby prevented from arriving at the bare wire part (k) in the hole 1a and the service life of the electrode wire body for plating is prolonged.
