PURPOSE:To provide the sound absorption effect and the sound insulation effect and also the vibration damping effect by providing a soundproof material of elastic foams prepared by foaming blended solid or semi-solid bituminous substance at the normal temperature, with at least one surface side formed in the projected and recessed form and respective surfaces thereof in contact with an outer cladding panel and an interior panel. CONSTITUTION:An outer cladding panel 1 is a steel panel, for example, represented by external plating for automobiles or the like. The thickness of said outer cladding panel 1, as an example, is 0.6 mm, and a synthetic interior panel 2 of corrugated board shape is provided inside thereof, and the interval between the panels 1 and 2, for example, is 10 mm. Soundproof interior material 3 is disposed between the panels 1 and 2. Said interior material 3 is molded into a form with one surface side being profile cut with a foaming material composed of urethane foam raw materials and bituminous substance particles. A recessed and projected surface 3a is disposed in contact with the outer cladding panel, and a rear side surface 3b is in contact with the interior panel 2. As an example, the thickness t1 of the crest section of the recessed and projected surface 3a is 11 mm, while the thickness t2 of the root section is 3 mm and the crest section is inserted between the panels 1 and 2 in a slightly compressed state.
