PURPOSE:To straighten cambers of a hard rolled steel sheet and to reduce the cost by spraying water or warm water onto the top or bottom surface of a cold rolled steel sheet in the inlet side of the final stand and changing a friction coefficient at the bitting part of a work roll by adjusting the spraying amount. CONSTITUTION:A cold rolled steel sheet 1 after annealing is rolled by a high draft of 10-50% by a double reduce rolling mill to manufacture the hard cold rolled steel sheet 1. In the case of generating cambers in that rolling, a friction coefficient at the sheet biting part between work rolls 12A, 12B is changed by spraying water or warm water onto the top or bottom surface of the sheet 1 in the inlet side of the final stand S of a mill and then cambering tendencies of the sheet 1 are changed. Further, the sheet 1 prevented from cambering is obtained by adjusting the spraying amount of water or warm water.
