PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of an apparatus by holding both axial end faces of a magnet between first retaining pieces respectively formed in first second holders and also both circumferential end faces thereof between second retaining pieces. CONSTITUTION:A permanent-magnet motor is composed of a yoke 1, a permanent magnet 2, first and second holders 3, 4 retaining said magnet 2, an armature 5 with its core 6 and coil 7 and so on. Said first and second holders 3, 4 are respectively inserted from the axial both end opening side of said yoke 1 into the yoke 1 to engage the magnet 2 from the axial both end side of said magnet 2 when they are fixed to the yoke 1. Also, second retaining pieces 3c, 4c biasing peripheral end faces 2b are integrally formed by cutting and lifting to contact the magnet 2 by elastic force. Thus, it is possible to improve the efficiency of an apparatus without requiring to use an adhesive and the like for fixing the magnet 2 to the yoke 1.
