PURPOSE:To improve the heat resisting property and to reduce the diameter and the weight of an optical fiber of the title unit by providing with a protective layer which is composed of a thermosetting resin, and integrally covers the assemblage of optical fibers having a coating layer composed of an UV curable resin in the title unit. CONSTITUTION:The title unit is constituted of the optical fiber 11 having the coating layer composed of the UV curable resin, and the protective layer 14 which is composed of the thermosetting resin and is formed closely around the outerside of the assemblage 13 of the optical fibers. And, the protective layer 14 is covered with a heat resisting layer 15 composed of the heat resisting resin such as a fluororesin or a polyimide tape, etc., to improve the heat resisting property of the optical fiber. Thus, the heat resisting property of the optical fiber is improved, and the high speed production, the reduction in diameter and weight, and the compactness are Permitted, thereby reducing the production cost of the titled unit. |
