PURPOSE:To obtain a shaft connecting joint manufactured easily at a low cost and with high reliability by erecting bending pieces bent in the orthogonal direction to a metal plate surface and in mutually reverse directions between the adjacent protruding surfaces on both side edges of each protruding portion of a cross-shaped metal plate. CONSTITUTION:Slits 16 with the same length are provided from each corner of a square metal plate 10 in the diagonal direction and the inner corner portions thereof are denoted with P1-P4, and when the intersections between the straight lines passing through the points P1 and P2, and through P3 and P4 and the sides of the metal plate 10 are denoted with points P5, P8, P9, P12 and the intersection between the straight line passing through the points P1 and P4, and through P2 and P3 and the sides of the metal plate 10 are denoted with points of P6, P7, P10, P11, the points P5, P8, P9, P12 form a rectangular area with end areas 12a, 12c and the points P6, P7, P10, P12 form a rectangular area with end areas 12b and 12d and both rectangular areas form a cross consisting of elements orthogonally crossing each other. Then, when four pieces of triangular areas 14a are bent to this side and the remaining four pieces of triangular areas 14b are bent to the other side, a shaft connecting joint is formed. By the process, the joint is usable even if the central axis lines of axes S1, S2 do not coincide with each other, and the problem with respect to the accuracy is solved by making the bent angles of the bent lines to be increased toward the ends.
