PURPOSE:To reduce the crosstalk by effectively applying tilt servo in a video area. CONSTITUTION:In case of playing of a composite disk 1, absolute position information of a read-out area of the video area recorded in a read-in area is read, and a tilt servo device 7 is turned on when an information detection point reaches the video area at the time of playing the video area. The tilt servo device 7 is turned off based on the result of comparison between current position information of the information detection point obtained from read information and absolute position information of the read-out area. Consequently, tilt servo is applied to the video area throughout the servo effective range without adding hardware to a conventional player neither remodeling it. Thus, the residual error of tilt is reduced to reduce the crosstalk.
