PURPOSE:To make a detaching operation convenient by sloping the depression part of the lens cap of an interchangeable lens having the depression part fixed to the pawl part of the lens cap. CONSTITUTION:At the time of mounting the lens cap on an interchangeable lens mount, the lens cap 1 is pressed to the pawl member 4 of the interchangeable lens mount side in a position where the respective pawl parts 2a, 2b, 2c and 5a, 5b, 5c do not interfere. After that, the lens cap 1 is rotated counterclockwise, shown by an arrow 9, until stoppers 3a, 3b and 3c are brought into contact with the pawl parts 5a, 5b and 5c of the interchangeable lens mount so as to gear with mutual pawl parts. By gearing the pawl part 2c with the pawl part 5a, the pawl part 2a with the pawl part 5b and the pawl part 2a with the pawl part 5c, respectively, the lens cap 1 is fixed. When the lens cap 1 is detached from the interchangeable lens mount, the cap 1 is rotated clockwise in a direction shown by an arrow 10. Then, a phase fixing pin 6 is gradually raised in the direction of the center of the interchangeable lens mount with the slope 7a of the depression part 7 of the pawl part 2b of the lens cap so as to be detached.
