PURPOSE:To shorten the starting time of a cycle and to enhance the cooling effect by cooling a cylinder head with the use of an independent circuit using a low b.p. medium as coolant, and driving a power recovery means with the use of the low b.p. medium which has been heated during the cooling. CONSTITUTION:An heat-exchanger 3 is provided in an exhaust pipe 2 connected to the cylinder head 1 of an engine. Further, a pump 5 as a coolant feed-out means is connected to the inlet port of a coolant passage formed in the cylinder head 1. Meanwhile, the output port of the heat-exchanger 3 is connected to a nozzle 7a of a turbine 7 as a power recovery means, and the turbine 7 is connected with a generator 8. Further, the output side of the turbine 7 is connected with a condenser 10 as a cooing means which is connected to the pump 5. Further, the cylinder head 1 is cooled down by use of low b.p. medium, and the heated low b.p. medium is used to drive the turbine 7.
