PURPOSE:To eliminate the labor and a setting mistake due to manual switching by switching a data transferring speed in accordance with a switching instruction by a telegraphic message and confirming whether or not transfer is normally executed. CONSTITUTION:A main control part 211 sends a changing requesting signal to instruct to switch a transferring speed to a keyboard 220 through an input output interface 213. When an interface 213 receives a response signal from the keyboard 220, the main control part 211 decides this, the instruction is sent to the interface 213 and a data transferring speed is switched. Next, the main control part 211 transmits a confirming signal through the interface 213 to the keyboard 220. When the interface 213 obtains the response signal from the keyboard 220, the main control part decides this and sends a completion informing signal. A POS control device 201 executes the usual processing and the data transfer between the interface 213 and the keyboard is executed.
