PURPOSE:To reduce the coercive force of a magnetic layer to obtain an excellent high frequency characteristic by stucking a ferromagnetic metallic thin film onto a substrate with a nonmetallic layer, whose thermal conductivity is higher than that of the substrate, between them. CONSTITUTION:A first nonmetallic layer 7 is interposed between a substrate 1 and a lower magnetic layer 2, and a second nonmetallic layer 8 is interposed between an inter-layer insulating layer 5 and an upper magnetic layer 6. Thermal conductivities of first and second nonmetallic layers 7 and 8 are made higher than those of the substrate 1 and the intermediate insulating layer 5. Consequently, the temperature of first and second nonmetallic layers 7 and 8 is uniform throughout, and the energy density of magnetic barrier and the layer thickness of the lower magnetic layer 2 and the upper magnetic layer 6 formed on these layers 7 and 8 are uniform throughout. Thus, the coercive force Hc of the magnetic layer is reduced and the hysteresis loss is sufficiently suppressed even in a high frequency range. |
