PURPOSE:To obtain the optical fiber having excellent transmissivity with a desired winding tension and without exerting an extraordinary pressure on the optical fiber by providing a winding tension relieving device between the winder of the optical fiber winding device and a dancer roller. CONSTITUTION:The winding tension relieving device 10 is formed by a wheel 13 for imparting energy to the optical fiber 2 having an optical fiber guide groove, a speed control motor 11 for rotating the wheel 13 in the winding direction of the optical fiber 2, and a torque imparting device consisting of an electromagnet clutch 12 capable of adjusting transfer torque from the outside and a transfer torque adjusting volume 14. The device 10 is provided between the dancer roller 6 of the optical fiber winding device furnished with a detector 7 and a weight 8 and the winder 3 provided with a bobbin 4. The optical fiber 1 is then received by a capstan 1 at a fixed speed, the signal of the detector 7 of the dancer roller 6 is fed back to a winding motor 5 through a controller 9 to control the winding speed, and energy is imparted through the wheel 13 at the torque set by the electromagnetic clutch 12 of the relieving device 10. |
