PURPOSE:To reduce noise by a method in which a pile penetrator is provided for the drive part of an auger, which is advanced to remove a reaction, and a pile is penetrated. CONSTITUTION:A cylinder 8 is attached in parallel to the drive part 7 of an auger 6, and a pile penetrator 9 is provided for the rod 8a of the cylinder 8. The device is attached to the tip of the arm 4 of an oil-pressure shovel. The auger 6 is advanced under ground by a given distance to support the reaction of the cylinder 8. The penetrator 9 is contacted with the tip of a pile 11, and the cylinder 8 is extended to drive the pile 11 into the ground. The pile can thus be driven even into narrow places with less noise.
