PURPOSE:To improve the sliding characteristics of a thermosetting resin, by mixing an oil-containing resin comprising a porous styrene/divinylbenzene copolymer containing adsorbed liquid oil with the thermosetting resin. CONSTITUTION:An oil-containing resin composition comprising a thermosetting resin and an oil-containing resin comprising a porous styrene/divinylbenzene copolymer containing adsorbed liquid oil. Said copolymer is one in which the divinylbenzene part functions as a crosslinking site for the styrene matrix and includes ones apparently having pores and ones apparently having no pores. In the preparation of a composition with the thermosetting resin, the oil- containing resin is used is an amount of about 5-50wt.% so that the amount of the oil may be about 3-30wt.% in the composition. When this amount is outside the above range, the desired effect of improving friction and abrasion resistance cannot be attained and especially the abrasion resistance is injured.
