PURPOSE:To obtain the titled elastomeric fiber outstanding in thermal stability and light resistance, by melt spinning of a polyetheresteramide polymer constituted by nylon 66 chain as the hard segment and alkylene oxide chain as the soft segment. CONSTITUTION:The objective elastomeric fiber having high resilience, excellent tensile modulus and outstanding dyeability and heat resistance, can be obtained by melt spinning of a polyetheresteramide polymer constituted by (A) nylon 66 chain linked through ester linkage containing alkylene of formula (n is integer 1-10; R is 2-6C alkylene such as ethylene, butylene or hexamethylene, the content in the formula being 0.5-20wt.%), as the hard segment and (B) alkylene oxide chain such as polytetramethylene oxide glycol, as the soft segment.
